The RF liveCOOL pump is a flushing pump (irrigation pump) for use with high-frequency ablation generators to perform cooled radiofrequency (HF) ablation therapies at the human heart or in the area of renal artery.

  • High-resolution 4.3″ color touch display
  • Maximum flow volume: 10 ml/min for low flow, 60 ml/min for high flow, 80 ml/min for flushing
  • Digital communication interface to the RF liveGEN generator to control the flush flow depending on the RF energy output
  • Linear cooling, counterpressure independent (in the working area)
  • Parallel operation of up to 2 flushing pumps (controlled by RF liveGEN generator), thus supporting bipolar ablation therapies over 2 catheters

Innovation

The RF liveCOOL pump has the following innovative features:

  • An efficient, clear user interface with a high-speed color touch display allows safe operation without training times. Permanent and clear representation of all relevant parameters
  • Permanent measurement and display of hose pressure
  • When coupled with a RF liveGEN generator Control the flow rates by the RF generator or the remote control control unit RF liveCOMMANDER Remote
  • Approval for laser ablation (on request)

The RF liveCOOL pump is a flush pump optimised for use with high-frequency ablation generators and has all features to meet all requirements for cooled high-frequency ablation therapies. The following overview shows the main product features of the RF liveCOOL pump

User interface:

  • Modern, efficient user interface with immediate access to the most essential parameters
  • Clear representation of all relevant parameters (flow rates, cumulative flushing volume, hose pressure, etc.)
  • Operation without long training times
  • Flow control of the flush pump by the ablation generator
  • Language setting of the user interface
  • Optional Remote Control Control Unit (RF liveCOMMANDER Remote) for parameterisation and remote control of the flush pump (display, parameterisation, flow control, fault handling identical to RF liveCOOL pump)

Performance data flushing pumps:

  • 3 different flow rates: Low flow rate (low flow)/high flow rate, flush flow
  • Flow volume per flow rate adjustable
  • Permanent monitoring of the hose set on air bubbles >= 2 μl
  • Permanent monitoring and display of the hose pressure, detection of pressures > 4 bar and display of a warning message
  • Demolition of the rinsing flow in detected air bubbles and/or at a hose pressure of 5 bar
  • Permanent monitoring and display of the cumulative flow volume
  • Permanent monitoring and display of bottle emptying
  • Low-noise 5-roll pump

Pump control:

  • Parallel operation of up to 2 pumps (allows the simultaneous use of 2 cooled ablation catheters, e.g. for bipolar ablation over 2 catheters)
  • Parameterisation and control of the flushing pump by a remote control control unit RF liveCOMMANDER Remote
  • Foot switch connection to control the flush flow via a foot switch

Security:

  • Conform to all normative requirements
  • Permanent monitoring of the hose set used on air bubbles >= 2 μl
  • Permanent monitoring of the hose pressure of the hose set used and warning (> 4 bar) or demolition (5 bar) of the rinsing at too high hose pressures
  • Display of the cumulative flushing volume, monitoring of bottle emptying
  • Extensive self-test and monitoring functions that ensure a safe function as well as optimum safety for users and patients
  • Clear display of errors and warnings via status symbols and display outputs
